The Opportunity
This is a unique chance to partner with our Pre-Rendered Artist team led out of Auckland, New Zealand. We are seeking elite freelance talent to support our APAC region projects. You will collaborate directly with an Executive Creative Director from our established London studio.
Capacity: Up to 40 hours per week (project dependent).
Location: Global / Remote.
Collaboration Window: To facilitate briefings and reviews with our Auckland based Executive Creative Director, you must be available for 6 hours of overlap within the core NZT business day (9:00am – 6:00pm NZST).
Flexible Production: Outside of these 6 collaborative hours, you have the flexibility to manage your remaining production time according to your own schedule/timezone, provided deadlines are met.
What You'll Do
We are seeking a highly experienced Freelance Artist who is obsessed with photorealism and visual storytelling. You will be trusted with complete autonomy, leading projects from concept to final delivery. This is a role for a master of the craft who thrives on pushing creative and technical boundaries.
Your profile must demonstrate:
A Portfolio of Excellence: A comprehensive portfolio showcasing your keen eye for lighting, composition, and cinematic language.
Technical Mastery: Proficiency in the core ArchViz pipeline, including 3ds Max and Corona/Vray, and a commitment to maintaining exceptional file hygiene. Experience with Unreal Engine or AI-integrated workflows (ComfyUI/SD) is a massive plus.
Design Fluency: The ability to understand and interpret architectural design packages (drawings, schedules) and translate them into compelling visual content.
Complete Autonomy: You will be trusted to lead projects from start to finish, producing images, animations, and VR experiences with complete independence.
Comprehensive Animation Expertise: Essential knowledge of traditional animation workflow, including camera animation, moving assets, and proficiency in editing software (After Effects, Premiere, etc.).
Curiosity and Growth: A willingness to push boundaries, experiment, and constantly improve.
Teamwork: The ability to provide and receive constructive and honest feedback in a remote collaborative environment.
Production Readiness & Requirements
As a senior freelance partner, you are expected to be production ready from day one. You must provide your own professional infrastructure, including:
A High Performance Workstation: A machine capable of handling complex, large scale architectural scenes and heavy rendering tasks.
Professional Setup: A dual-screen (or equivalent) environment for efficient workflow management.
Connectivity: A high speed, stable internet connection suitable for transferring large project files and participating in seamless video reviews.
